Thai Gems and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) proceed to increase strengthen the gem and jewelry industry in Asia and held an online meeting with leaders of Asian gem and jewelry organizations.
TGJTA had held the meeting on the 9th ASEAN +6 Gems and Jewelry Presidents’ Summit on July 16, 2020; the online conference was attended by leaders’ organizations in Asean countries such as
- Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA) - The Gems Jewelry and Precious Metal Confederation of Thailand (GJPCT), - Federation of Goldsmiths and Jewellers Associations of Malaysia (FGJAM), - Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Entrepreneurs Association (MGJEA) - Indonesia Goldsmiths & Jewellers Association (APEPI) - Deputy Director of Exhibition Affairs Department, Genneral Directorate of Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce
and associations from supporting regions such as - Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA), - Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association (HKJMA), - The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) of India - Gems and Jewellery Trade Association of China (GAC)
which received good cooperation and feedback in exchange for the situation of the COVID-19 outbreak in the past that affected the gems and jewelry business in each country for learning to handle and adaption together during the business rehabilitation phase after the situation began to resolve and gradually improved.
From the previous meeting, we saw the ways to adjust the trading strategy and the wider trade channels by all countries agree on building a Platform Trade Online in both B2B and B2C so the members of every organization can connect to each business more conveniently and without any limitations in dealing with each other.
This meeting is a beginning of cooperation in driving the gem and jewelry business to move forward and prepares to handle all economic situations and grow up together firmly. Therefore, TGJTA will hold the meeting between the gem and jewelry organizations in ASEAN and associations from supporting regions on August 6, 2020 at 03.00 PM on “ASEAN +6 Webinar with the Global Leaders of Gems and Jewelry” via Zoom meeting and this meeting will be publicized to members of all associations on
